First thing you’ve got to know about this area compared to places like Tampa and St. Petersburg on the west coast, is that there are no large population areas. No high-traffic, eight-lane highways or jammed packed interchanges. No high rise, congested big cities here to avoid. After all, you are on vacation to get away from all that.  And you can do that better here, so just plan on relaxing in a cozy hotel room, sun-bathing on the beach and enjoying the many different activities you’ll find here.

It’s all about the weather!

One of the great things about the area and Florida in general, is that the weather is very cooperative with being outdoors. The areas weather patterns move through very fast, sometimes within hours, so if one day it is cloudy and rainy, you will probably find that the next day is sunny and warm. In the warm summer months, you can find something outdoors or indoors to do to beat the heat. With this in mind, consider having a plan of activities for both.
