Kayaking on the Space Coast

With so many waterways including its beaches, rivers and estuaries, the Port Canaveral area is a prime location for exploring by kayak on it’s waters. There are plenty of places to rent and explore yourself or take a guided tour for an enjoyable day. You can view the many stately homes along the shore or watch the area water foal up close.

You probably will see a few manatees along the way or even dolphins in the Indian and Banana Rivers. If your on the St. Johns River, expect to paddle by a few alligators sunning themselves on the shore. The banks are also host to wild boar and white tail deer.

Where ever you decide to kayak or take a guided tour, be sure to take your camera, a hat and sunscreen. And of course as a precaution, bug repellant.
