Just Driving and Touring the Area

Ok, so you have a day open and you want to get the lay of the land. So which way do you go to get a feel for the area.

Actually, it is really simple. There are a couple of roads to choose from to have a great visual of how area residents live.

One of these of course is the main drag, A1A, the beach highway. Traffic is light, so it makes for a great road trip south from Cape Canaveral to Sebastian Inlet.

On your way, stop along the many beach access roads and parks to check out the many varied beaches. There are plenty of nice local beach restaurants to stop for lunch, particularly along the Eau Gallie Causeway. Or you might stop at one of the better Starbucks in Indian Harbor Beach for a refresher.

State Road 3 in South Merritt Island is the second choice for an excellent relaxing road trip of the area. You’ll find picturesque vistas with palm trees, lots of water, and well manicured homes to view.

But drive around and check out the area. It’s hard to get lost and most roads head back to the strip and the cruise areas. You may someday make the area your home and if not your sure to want to come back.
