Air Boat Rides
If you would like to experience unspoiled and natural Florida, take an air boat ride along the pristine St. Johns River basin and marches (called the Central Florida Everglades).
You’ll should expect to see Bald Eagles, Osprey (Sea Eagles), Wild Turkeys, Herons, and Sand Hill Cranes as well as many migratory birds. There will be plenty of Alligators as well as a possible glimpse of Wild Boar and White-Tail Deer.
There are two locations to depart from. One half way from I-95 on Highway 50 and the town of Christmas.

Airboat Rides at Midway also provides tours in this area. They have been in service since the mid-30’s. They provide a permanent facility from which to depart and return easily with exotic bird and snake exhibit. You’ll find a gift shop with refreshments, souvenirs and clean restrooms. You can even hold a baby alligator after your ride.
The other location is just west of I-95 on Highway 520 at the rustic Lone Cabbage Fish Camp and Restaurant. Twister Airboat Rides provides 30 minutes rides as well as extended ECO tours. These tours are by reservation only so plan ahead and set your date for an old style Florida adventure.
