Port Canaveral’s New Boat Ramps Open to Wave Reviews

Already boasting more recreational facilities than all other Florida ports combined, in July the Canaveral Port Authority announced the opening of what has been described as the best boat launch complex on America’s east coast!

This state-of-the-art facility with its eight boat ramps and floating docks includes a boat rinse-down area, onsite bait shop, bathrooms, fish-cleaning tables, picnic tables and plenty of trailer-sized parking. You’ll find a staging area where vehicles pulling boat trailers can line up for their final approach and then discover plenty of extra space for those tricky back-up turns down the ramp and into the water.

By far its best feature is location. The boat launch complex is adjacent to Jetty Park — right next to Port Canaveral’s inlet.  That means boaters and fisherman will spend less time and fuel in the channel’s wake-free zone and more time at sea. The local boaters and fisherman are thrilled. What more could you ask for?

And if you time your launch just right, you’ll find yourself staring up in awe as one of Port Canaveral’s majestic cruise ships sails by just feet in front of your boat. Wow!
